Justice Department’s Bureau of Prisons’ Prisoner Release – 92,343 Cards by JPMorgan Chase

Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service reports the U.S. Debit Card program for nonbenefit payments, with the aid of  JPMorgan Chase,  issued more than 92,000 cards for released prisoners. Among other “perks,” recipients of these debit cards enjoy domestic ATM withdrawal fees of $2 apiece and losing a card and requesting a quick replacement will set the cardholder back $24.50. You can review the report here.

And how much does it cost to replace a debit on Chase Premier Plus Checking for customers? From Chase website:

Card Replacement (Rush Request): Express shipping of a replacement debit or
ATM card.
$5/card OR
$0/card if not a rush request
