Wells Fargo hangs on to $1.3M city finance deal despite scandal

New York City is sticking with Wells Fargo.

At a hearing on Thursday, Mayor de Blasio’s office raised no objection to the city’s five-year, $1.3 million contract with the disgraced bank — paving the way for Wells to keep its deal to process payments for the Department of Finance.

In fact, there were no objections from anyone to the Wells deal during the thinly attended hearing on the mezzanine floor of the Municipal Building.
